Chacoon Blue son sold for 52.000 Euro

Münster: After the successful Westphalian Winter Auction of riding horses and ponies on Sunday afternoon, the youngsters were up for auction this evening. 20 promising offers were up for sale online. Two horses broke the 50,000 Euro barrier. The great interest of customers from abroad was very remarkable.

Only yesterday afternoon, the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch e.V. sold 39 riding horses and ponies in an online auction. This evening, 17 youngsters found a new owner. The most sought after horse was a Chacoon Blue/Clinton son with the head number 101 (breeder: Frank Bartsch, Rietz-Neuendorf; exhibitor: Sport-Horses-Sirrin, Neuötting). The licensed Chacandro descends from the Holstein line 4996, which produced numerous successful sport horses. The grey stallion, who has a special willingness to perform, jumps very well and carefully. He was worth 52,000 Euros to an international show jumping rider from Hungary.

The new owners were very happy when number 104 was knocked down. The interest in the high quality Zoom/Bordeaux daughter (breeder: Helmut Stelling, Heinbockel; exhibitor: Sportpferde Beckmann GmbH & Co.KG, Wettringen) was remarkable. No less than 20 bidders competed in an exciting bidding duel with 77 bids to win Zenzina. The liver chestnut mare is equipped with a lot of tact and outstanding movement mechanics. She will move into a stable with trainer Aikje Fehl in Bavaria for 51,000 Euros. Of the three riding ponies offered, all found a new owner. Two of them in other European countries. The son of the double Bundeschampion Golden West changed hands for 13,000 Euros. The four-year-old palomino gelding Glückspilz (breeder: ZG M. Yalcin und M. Nelles, Todesbüttel; exhibitor: Birgit Bitting, Herne) will find a new home in Bavaria.

Of the 17 riding horses and three ponies offered, a total of 17 changed hands this evening. The horses sold achieved a total turnover of 392,250 Euros. On average, the international customers invested 23,074 Euros in their new future hope. The interest from abroad was particularly remarkable. Bids from all over the world were received on the Horse24 GmbH online platform. In the end, 40% of the horses sold found a new home outside of Germany. Many pre-bids came from abroad. After the two parts of the Westphalian Winter Auction Handorf Extra, which achieved a total turnover of 1,279,750 Euros, Auction and Marketing Manager Thomas Münch was more than satisfied: "This was a sensational start to the new year! In both auction parts we were able to increase the average price significantly compared to the previous year. We are looking positively into 2021 and look forward to the upcoming auctions."
